Our story

Our story begins in the forests south of Sweden. We met here at a Juijutsu & Shiatsu school where we both took refuge from burn out & depression. Me, Malin, coming from the hectic world of communication & Daniel from the isolation of depression. This place allowed us to slow down & go into introspection. Learning about the philosophy behind Shiatsu & Jiujutsu created a new way of experiencing the world. As we started to remember who we are; a longing for helping others find their way home grew. "Sisu" is Finnish for lower belly, or as they call it in Japanese culture "Hara". "Patcha" means earth in the indigenous language Quechua spoken in Peru.

  • Jiujutsu & Yagu Shingan Ryu: Training martial arts for 5-days a week for a whole year teaches you discipline, devotion & patience. We've found peace & strength in building our bodies with the support of our Sensei. We both came here with back pain & the power stances & movement patterns (kata) we've learned has healed our backs one day at a time. Learning how to connect our body & withourself before we connect with someone else. That means handling the art of staying in your own energy & pace even when we are in someone elses energy field. Jiujutsu may seem as a sport to throw & hit your opponent, but it's actually about keeping your frame strong while your inside is soft, a relaxed tension, that makes you flexible to move out of the way or "catch" your opponent's movements. We often talk about Kappou & Sappou. That what can kill can also heal; they are two sides of the same coin. Back in the days, the Japanese Samurais where warriors but also the village doctors. If you don't have a strong frame (body), you can't go deep enough to heal someone else. Our Sensei has also trained us in the art of Odatchi & Bokuto; wooden swords that prepare you for handling a Katana (a real samurai sword). Welcome to experience movement patterns, power stances & how to connect your body. This will strengthen & straighten your whole body whilst making it more flexible & soft. & building a clear mind with one intention & direction.

Person's Hands In The Water

  • Shiatsu Therapy: "Work with demon hands & an angel heart". As mentioned before, to truly heal you need to have a strong body with a loving intention. In Shiatsu we treat with our hands & hearts. The heart holds the intention while the hands direct the Ki (life force). We work with the energy flow of the meridians to re-align the body into balance. With the help of the five elements, a client-centered approach & intuition we build a picture of the patient. We can treat symptoms, but that's just surface & we are looking for the root cause. In Shiatsu we talk about Jitsu & Kyo. Where the first mentioned is an overactive part of the body that can show up as pain (symptom). Kyo is where something is underactive & can show up as numbness. We work with moving flow back into the part that is underactive. In that way, the overactive part (Jitsu) will get balanced along with treating the underactive (Kyo). Welcome to experience the healing power of touch as we work to balance your body's energy pathways, promoting relaxation, the body’s power to self-heal and a sense of overall wellbeing.

  • Somatic therapy: "Explore the wilderness of your body". When working with this type of therapy my main focus is for your body to feel safe. That includes the nervous system, sensations, introspection & emotions. I will help your body to regulate through movement, sound, breath & touch. We work with reconnecting mind with body & heart with womb/hara. It's a delicate & beautiful journey that leads you back home.
  • Trauma-informed therapy: "The body holds all our experiences". Trauma is simply put; too much too fast. An overwhelming event that the body wasn't able to digest & therefore got stuck. In order to reach & digest these events we need to slow down (titrate), one drop at a time to alchemize the experience. Suppressed emotions & trauma carry shame around them. We want to bring these parts light & allow them to be seen. I also work with the Jungian concept of "The shadow". How we've been conditioned to suppress parts of ourselves that never received love. A lot of un-shaming work has to do with seeing, accepting & loving all of ourselves. Seeing the pain as your ally instead of something you want to push away is the journey to allowing & loving all of your parts.

  • Breathwork: "The breath is the bridge between the mind & body". Through breath, we reach the unconscious. It is the only function in our body that works unconsciously that we can make conscious. Observing our natural breathing pattern is a meditative state that is healing in itself. Neurotransformational breathwork is a breathwork that works consciously with the breath to reach deeper stuck emotions & deep relaxation. It's a technique for breathing through the mouth while using sounds, touch & movement to access the body's deepest layers. Most importantly is to be connected to the breath. Chakras osho
  • Dance therapy: Movement has many different expressions, the main one I work with is the intuitive one. We let the body move as it feels. No choreography, but letting the body speak its truth. We have all heard about moving through the emotion, but about moving with it? Pain can be expressed in a non-harmful way that makes us feel good & powerful. It can be singing, running or like for me; it's dancing. With the help of the five elements, we can reach different energy ranges in the body to open up & feel completely free.

  • Meditation: I am a deep devote of Vipassana & therefore first recommend the 10-day course taught by Goenka to learn the technique. If you are not equipped for that journey, I am certified to teach the method "Anapana" the prerequisite to learn Vipassana. We live in a fast-paced world where we accumulate new information constantly. We have forgotten the importance of clearing our minds & not being attached to our thoughts. That's why meditation & being able to sit in stillness is important for a balanced life. Osho dynamic meditation
